這首歌於1974年由Elton John和Bernie Taupin這對黃金拍擋所作, 一出已經有非常不俗的成績, 但真正成為大熱, 卻是1991年的事.

1985年的Live Aid Concert中二人已合唱過這曲, 到1991年George Michael的演唱會中, Elton John以Surprise Guest的身份和GM再度合唱, 即成為美國和英國流行榜的No. 1

據說這首歌是內容暗指他早年曾試過自殺一事, 你又能否從歌詞中看出端倪?

開始聽billy joel的歌是佢出最後一張pop album, river of dream時. 當時在收音機聽到一個專門介紹billy joel的特輯, 便因為honesty這首歌喜歡billy joel. 而billy joel最受歡迎的一首歌應是這首piano man.

這個mtv我今日才第一次看, 覺得都幾特別, 好少mtv好似佢咁把歌的內容做返曬出來. 我英文不太好, 尤其是俚語. 歌詞有一句「put bread in my jar」我聽左十幾年都唔明佢講乜, 係早幾年先有高人教我這句解「把小費放進我的兜兜」. 如果一早看到這個music video, 可能唔使困擾我咁多年了.

video最後一幕寫bill martin, 我又係因為咁先知原來佢真名叫william martin joel.

從無想過要在這裡介紹新歌, 今次這首是例外. 因為作這首咁好聽的歌的作曲家, 伍仲衡, 係我同學.

我form 1同佢同班識佢. 中六時佢係足球學會會長, 我係唔記得咩二打六post, 當年最成功係攪了一個「跟隊」型式的足球比賽, 令低年班的同學有機會同D高年班的同學比賽, 非常受歡迎. 直到今日佢見親我都係約我踢波的.

以下係從wikipedia抄返來有關佢的介紹:
伍仲衡是一名香港作曲人。於1997年加入香港樂壇創作行列，積極參與作曲、編曲及填詞。即使他在1997年已經發表第一首個人作品（陳曉東的《愛你躲你》），但他仍多次參加創作比賽。他於1998年奪得第十屆CASH流行曲創作大賽冠軍；及於2000年第十二屆CASH流行曲創作大賽再次獲得亞軍。
於2005年，伍仲衡有份參與張學友歌舞劇《雪狼湖》的亞洲巡迴演出，充當鍵琴手。2007年他更是參與了104場的學友光年世界巡迴演唱會，充當演唱會樂隊成員。

目前他和伍樂城合作，成為伯樂音樂學院的導師。

好多人知我喜歡林子祥. 喜歡他因為我小學一年級時我二哥唱「我要走天涯」比我聽. 喜歡首歌, 然後喜歡埋個歌手.

最近先知, 原來林子祥同我D阿哥有些少關係. 原來林子祥爸爸是個醫生, 當年曾為我大哥接生的.

昨天在facebook post了wednesday 3am, 內容係一個後生仔犯左事. 今日首歌其中一段亦講自己殺左人, 但真是殺左人? is this the real life? is this just fantasy? 還是如主音作曲者freddie mercury說的是為押韻而毫無意義的歌詞而已?
